Sophomore. Strong-bodied, 6-foot-3, 215-pound frame. The left-handed hitter showed off some bat-strength throughout his round of BP, especially to his pull-side where he reached up to 96.2 mph for his max EV with an average of 90.3 mph. He showed intent to lift the baseball throughout his round of BP, reaching up to 370’ for his max distance.
Colby Guy out of Barrie is a left-handed bat that shows ability to find the barrel and create some offensive output in 2020. Creates rhythm in hands and body, loads up on back side and showed looseness in the swing. Will be an interesting bat to watch in 2020.
6-foot-2, 190-pound corner-infielder, Guy is a strong and physical 2021 grad. It’s a left-handed swing with rhythm and aggression. It’s compact with good extension, and there is evident pop to the pull-side. Lots of upside offensively. Can play third-base, arm-works up to 74 mph. Bat will be his carrying tool. A guy to keep tabs on going forward.
