Ian Jordan C / 3B / Cardinal Newman, ON / 2018
Events Attended: Fall Finale
Scouting Report: Right-handed hitting catcher with good feel for behind the plate as Jordan works between a 1.95 - 2.00 pop time, ball jumps out and stays on line with true rotation out the hand, shows easy actions receiving and that he can catch higher velocity. At the plate, slightly uphill path, gap to gap power with bat speed, stays balanced through finish and will get into one here and there. Has shown the ability to make pitchers work and gets on base quite a bit, typically puts together strong at-bats with good swings on the ball.
Outlook: Jordan handles his pitchers well and can display some offensive tools at the next level as a freshman. The chance to contribute and work his way into a starting role over time at the NJCAA level looks to be the route for Jordan, a definite look for guys still needing help behind the dish.
