Mizuno Monday - Prospect of the Week

Mitch Bratt LHP / Newmarket, ON / 2021

Report: Bratt has been a household name for some time now and since we’ve been able to get back on field and into game play, he’s been nothing short of what has been expected from him. The Florida State southpaw commit has worked in the upper 80’s for the majority of his outing’s while flashing 90 and 91 on the radar gun. The curveball is sharp and acts as an out pitch in the 72-76 range while the changeup will show fading action at times and work in the low 80’s. Bratt throws strikes and moves the ball around with a feel for the game and idea of what he wants to do on the mound.

Future: Bratt will finish off the 2020 year pitching for his club team the Toronto Mets, appearing in the CPBL all-star game and then is currently scheduled to attend the world wood bat in Ft. Myers in October. Eyes will be on the left-hander as he closes out 2020, and it seems only fitting that he is our 1st Mizuno Monday Prospect of the Week.
