Scouting Notes: Ontario Blue Jays Workout - 2/3/18

Kyle Lev RHP / St. Martin, ON / 2019

Report: Listed at 6-foot-6, 180-pounds, your eyes are immediately drawn to Kyle Lev who definitely looks the part. During the off season, his goal was to add more strength and he looks noticeably stronger than last fall but the frame can still accommodate considerable more bulk. He displayed a very easy motion that stays balanced through release and landing. He controls a longer arm action well and is able to find the zone consistently. The arm is loose and more velocity should come with added strength and better use of the lower half. In one of his first mound sessions of the year, Lev flashed a few effective change ups that had some fade to go along with fastballs between 82-84 mph. Lev is primed to have a big 2018 campaign and continues to make impressive strides.
