Penncrest 4,  No. 2 Conestoga 3
Conestoga has fallen on hard times.  Following tonight’s 4-3 loss to Penncrest, they sit at 5-2 overall.  This was the second loss in a week and in difficult fashion. Andrew Belfiglio pitched a complete game five hitter for Penncrest.  He struck out eight and walked two, but did his biggest damage with his bat.  With two outs in the sixth inning, Belfiglio singled home two runs and then shut down Conestoga in the seventh for the win.

Phoenixville 6,  Methacton 4
In a battle of teams that have been ranked this season in the PBR state rankings, Phoenixville used two runs in the fifth inning and two more runs in the sixth inning to pull away for the victory. Shane Allen picked up the win on the mound, outdueling Joey Cassleberry.

Cardinal O’Hara 5,  No. 1 Malvern Prep 3
The No. 1 ranked team in Pennsylvania lost for the second time in a week to fall to 14-4 overall.  Cardinal O’Hara used a four run sixth inning to overcome a 2-1 deficit.  Nick Donovan picked up the win in relief.

Council Rock South 3,  Council Rock North 2
CR South scored three runs in the second inning and made them hold up to knock of CR North.  Brian Donnelly went 6.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and walking nobody, to pick up the win.  CS South moves to 9-0 overall and 6-0 in league play.

Ephrata 6,  No. 5 Cedar Crest 5
It took extra innings to do it, but Ephrata came up with 3 runs in the 10th inning to nock of Cedar Crest in 10 innings. Jeremy Frank threw four innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win for Ephrata (8-3).  Cameron Mathis came on in the sixth inning for Cedar Crest (9-2) and was tagged with the loss.

Greencastle-Antrim 9,  No. 10 Shippensburg 4
Greencastle-Antrim (6-3) broke open a 2-2 game with three runs in the fifth inning, and added four more insurance runs in the seventh to pull away from Shippensburg (9-2). Ryan Ricci went seven strong innings to pick up the win, while Marshal Witmer took the loss for Shippensburg.

No. 8 Northern York 10,  James Buchanan 3
Northern York was one of the few state ranked teams to survive the rash of upsets yesterday. The Polar Bears got a solo homerun from Cody McLaughlin in the first inning and a three run homerun from Anthony Salomone in the third inning to bolster their 13 hit attack. Jordan Miller picked up the win on the hill in a complete game effort.  Northern York moved to 8-2 on the season.

Bethel Park 5, Canon-McMillan 1
Logan Corrigan went 4 for 4 with two doubles, a triple and three RBI to lead Bethel Park to a league win.  Aaron LaPaglia went the distance for the win, allowing just five hits while striking out seven.  Bethel Park move to 10-1 on the season and 4-1 in league play.

No. 3 Norwin 10, Latrobe 1
The No. 1 ranked player in the class of 2014, J.J. Matijevic, continued his torrid spring with four more hits, including a double, and drove in four more runs. Matijevic has 12 hits in his last 14 at-bats and 17 RBI in his past three games. Nick Kolat, Jake Pribanic and Max Redovan each added doubles for Norwin (9-0, 5-0). Don DePalma homered for Latrobe (4-7, 2-3).

Saegertown 9, Union City 0
Saegertown moved to 12-0 on the season with a 9-0 league win over Union City (6-3). Luke Carter went the distance on the mound to pick up the win.  To date, the Saegertown pitching staff has given up four runs on the season.  Ryan Paden and Tyler Walters both had homeruns for the Panthers.
