2015 RHP Ben Dum (West Perry) Tosses Back-to-Back Gems

Ben DumBen Dum tossed a complete game no-hitter with 11 strikeouts for West Perry last evening in handing Northern York its first loss of the season. For most pitchers Dum's performance would be the highlight of the season, but not in the case of the No. 13 ranked prospect in the PA Class of 2015. The VCU recruit was even sharper in his opening start of the season, a perfect game win over Trinity.

In 14 innings of work to begin his senior season Dum has allowed no hits, walked just one batter and has registered 25 strikeouts. The 6-foot, 185-pound righty sits in the upper 80s with above average run and sink to his fastball out of a 3/4 arm slot. The member of Team Pennsylvania at the 2013 PBR Future Games also mixes an upper 70s changeup and a curveball at 73 mph in his effective assortment of pitches.

The sophomore has also developed an above average changeup to give him a solid three pitch mix. On the season Knarr has worked 10.2 innings while chalking up 24 strikeouts.
