CLASS OF 2018 Position Players

Jagger Blough, C/1B, Conestoga Valley HS (PA)
5-foot-10, 165-pounder displayed capable defensive actions behind the plate and at first base over the course of two games. Nursing some late fall arm fatigue, Blough's numbers were down from where we have seen him behind the plate at previous events this summer (2.13-2.22 pop times). The right-handed hitter ran a 7.26 60-yard dash and led off game two with a double while showcasing an 81 mph bat exit velocity.

Billy Collins, 1B, North Penn HS (PA)
Physical 6-foot-3, 230-pound right-handed hitter took the top round of batting practice on the day, routinely barreling the baseball with authority, including a long home run over the 35 foot wall in left field. Displayed consistent ability to backspin the baseball with present power and a bat exit velocity of 95 mph. Went 2-for-5 with a double in game action while barreling the baseball in every at bat. Showcased solid 84 mph arm strength across the diamond and capable footwork around the bag at first base.

James Vito, C/1B, West Chester Henderson HS (PA)
5-foot-11, 185-pound right-handed hitter excelled in game action going 1-for-3 in game one and then went 4-for-4 with two doubles in game two to finish the day 5-for-7. Right-handed hitter utilizes a heel-raise stride to initiate his swing from a slightly open stance.  A short, direct swing path leads to repeated barrels with an ability to drive both gaps. Ran a 7.69 60-yard dash and showcased pop times of 2.18-2.26 on throws of 72 mph from the crouch. In addition to solid defensive work behind the plate, also displayed capable in game actions at first base.

Colin Dorrell, OF, Cedar Cliff HS (PA)
6-foot, 150-pound left-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a short, leg-hang stride. Handsy hitter stays behind the baseball well and showcased a solid feel for the barrel in batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. Ran a 7.34 60-yard dash and went 1-for-5 with a sacrifice fly, an RBI, and a pair of stolen bases in game action. Displayed athletic defensive actions with an ability to play the baseball on the move. Flashed above average straight line carry on throws of 85 mph to home plate.

Colin McCormick, 2B/SS, Bonner-Prendergast HS (PA)
5-foot-10, 165-pound left-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a leg-hang stride to initiate his swing. Showcased balance throughout his swing with an ability to barrel the baseball to all fields resulting in a bat exit velocity of 82 mph. Ran a 7.77 60-yard dash and displayed active feet with good routes to the baseball defensively. With current foot speed and 76 mph arm strength across the diamond, McCormick profiles best as a second baseman at the next level.
