Cathedral Prep broke a scoreless tie in the fifth when the inning was extended with two outs on an infield pop up that was not handled.  A run scored on the miscue and Tyler Oedekoven followed with a double to give the Ramblers a 2-0 lead.

The Trojans did not go quietly as Barricklow was hit by a pitch to start the seventh inning and eventually scored on an Adam Snyder single.  Snyder got as far as second with the tying run but Rockne Seidel, on in relief of Smith, was able to induce a flyout to end the game.

Nick HessSmith got the win with a line reading 6 IP, 9 H, 1 ER, 4K, 1 BB.  He was really good when he had to be coming up with a couple of big strikeouts in key situations to strand runners.  Barricklow was masterful throughout changing speeds, locating and pitching to contact.  His final line showed 6 IP, 5 H 2 R, 0 ER, 0 K, 0 BB.

Mutiple hit games included Snyder (2-4, RBI) and Mercyhurst recruit Nick Hess (pictured right, 2-3).
