Outfielders Analysis: Week 5 of Fall College Prospect Program

Mike AnthonyRHP/OF Mike Anthony, Phoenixville HS, Class of 2015

Anthony is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound prospect that showed the potential to be a two-way player at the next level. The right-handed hitter utilized a lift and replace stride foot and a strong lower half to create a bat exit velocity of 83 mph. He barreled the baseball routinely in batting practice and showed some gap power. Anthony went 3-for-4 with a double in game action at DeSales University. He showcased the top outfield arm of the weekend at 85 mph and athletic actions to the baseball.

OF Antonio Estrella, Whitehall HS, Class of 2015

Estrella is a 5-foot-6, 140-pound prospect that showcased accurate throws of 65 mph from the outfield. The right-handed hitter showcased a line drive approach at the plate and barreled the baseball frequently during his round of batting practice. Estrella displayed a 69 mph bat exit velocity at DeSales University.

OF John McGagh, Friends School of Baltimore (MD), Class of 2015

McGagh is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed hitter that hits from a square stance with a very small stride and a bat exit velocity of 79 mph. He demonstrated a short swing path and the ability to barrel most baseballs during batting practice. McGagh demonstrated an accurate arm and the ability to cover some ground in the outfield.

OF Danny Pugh, Loudon Valley HS, Class of 2014

Pugh showed athletic actions and a strong arm during defensive workouts at DeSales University and Lehigh University. The 5-foot-9, 150-pound prospect displayed good straight line carry on throws of 80 mph from his position. The right-handed hitter hits from a slightly open stance with a high hands load. Pugh barreled most baseballs in batting practice and showed a bat exit velocity of 77 mph. He went 3-for-7 with a double in game action during the course of the two days.

OF/2B Andy Snyder, Central Dauphin HS, Class of 2015

Snyder is a 5-foot-6, 145-pound left-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a lift and replace stride foot. He showed the ability to use all fields in batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 74 mph. Snyder went 2-for-4 at the plate in game action at DeSales University. Snyder showed the ability to cover ground and accurate throws of 76 mph from his outfield position.
