By Greg Williams

The Fall College Prospect Program made stops at 10 colleges in Pennsylvania over the span of five weekends before making its one and only appearance in West Virginia at Alderson Broaddus University. A total of six pitchers toed the rubber at A-B with quality performances from pitchers in three different classes. Following is a breakdown of each of the pitchers that made an appearance.

LHP Luciano Besh, Franklin Regional HS, Class of 2016

Besh is a 5-foot-10, 160-pound prospect that 79-80 out of an over the top arm slot with command of a 70 mph 1/7 breaking curveball. The lefty missed plenty of bats with the tight breaking pitch that has hard down action. Besh worked three innings yielding two hits while striking out five.

LHP Dom Coconcelli, Penn Trafford HS, Class of 2016

Coconcelli has a projectable frame at 6-foot-2, 170-pounds. The lefty was very impressive on the mound. He sat 77-79 while touching 80 mph several times in three innings of work on the mound. Coconcelli has a loose arm and repeatable mechanics with command of a tight spinning 68 mph curveball. He also flashed the makings of a dominant changeup at 71 mph. Coconcelli is likely to see significant velocity gains in the coming years with his athletic frame and loose delivery.

LHP Zach Guth, Franklin HS, Class of 2015

Guth is a 6-foot-3, 170-pound lefty that has had a breakout summer and fall on the mound. He made six appearances in the fall program logging a total of 18 innings of work. He put up eye popping numbers with 40 strikeouts, more than two an inning, while sitting 84-86. Guth touched 87 mph on a number of occasions while displaying run and cut fastball options. He also showed a feel for his 77 mph curveball and a vastly improved 74 mph changeup. Guth has garnered considerable interest from a number of Divison I programs as a result of his success this fall and will begin the process of sifting through offers in the coming weeks.

RHP Collin Liberatore, Greensburg-Central Catholic HS, Class of 2015

Liberatore has had an impressive fall showcasing a fastball that sits 79-81 mph with arm side run. The 6-foot-2, 165-pound righty has a loose arm with repeatable mechanics that projects additional velocity is on the horizon. Liberatore has showcased a 70 mph 11/5 breaking curveball and a 71 mph changeup that is a plus pitch. He throws the changeup at fastball arm speed and it shows late downward action. Everything about Liberatore's frame, mechanics and command indicate that he will be a high end follow in this class.
