Preseason All-State Showcase: Previewing the Middle Infielders

The Preseason All-State Showcase is set for February 15 and 16 at the B2B Baseball Academy in Manheim, PA. The event serves as the end of the indoor events schedule and an opportunity for the top prospects in the state to showcase their skills one last time prior to the start of high school baseball practices in early March. As we draw closer to the event we will preview some of the top prospects on the roster by position.

This year's Preseason All-State Showcase has been expanded to a two-day event to better serve the number of talented prospects looking to participate. Day one will showcase position players with 39 middle infielders set to display their abilities.

The Class of 2015 has already seen 23 of the top 27 ranked prospects make Division I commitments. Among the top ranked and uncommitted prospects in the class, Frankie Jezioro (No. 30, Peters Township) and Joe Campagna (No. 82, Blackhawk) will make the trip from Western PA to show their abilities. Jezioro is a switch-hitter that runs a 6.63 60-yard dash. Campagna is solidly built 5-foot-10, 190-pound right-handed hitter with some juice in his bat.

The Class of 2016 will also be well represented. Matt Tarabek (No. 14, Hempfield Area), Frankie Fraschetti (No. 15, Neshannock) and Corbin Kessler (No. 29, Seneca Valley) will also make the trip across the turnpike from Western PA. Eastern PA will be well represented by AJ LaBella (No. 30, Springside-Chestnut Hill), Bryan Reagle (No. 48, Easton Area) and Hunter Reeser (No. 59, Governor Mifflin). All told 11 middle infield prospects ranked among the top 75 spots in the class rankings will be in attendance.

Day One Roster / Day One Itinerary / Day Two Information 

 + The Day Two roster and Itinerary will be finalized today. Day Two will showcase pitchers and catchers. Registrations will close at noon today with a limited number of roster spots remaining at this point.
