Matt Thompson is a 6-foot, 165-pound LHP/1B from Saegertown HS. Following two seasons in a varsity uniform for the Meadville Bulldogs, Thompson has transferred to Saegertown HS for his junior season. He will join a Saegertown Panthers team advanced to the PIAA Class AA final eight last season. The Panthers return all but one player from that team, LHP/1B Ryan Paden. Thompson should move into the Saegertown pitching rotation and will battle for a spot in the every day lineup when he is not on the mound. Thompson will be participating in the Preseason All-State Showcase on February 23.
