Scouting Report
'21 RHP Mark Aaronson (Friends Select) Long, projectable frame at 6-foot-4, 180 lbs. Works up tempo with a long whippy arm action running the FB up to 86 mph per @trackmanbaseball while mixing in a sharp CB at 77 mph. @pbrpennsylvaniapic.twitter.com/qZIoAoJJ1L
Physical: 6-foot-4, 180 pounds; athletic frame with broad upper body. Pitching: Moves well down the slope, creates good drive by coiling the hip at the top of his leg kick and riding the coil feeling down the mound. Long, loose arm action dropping out of the glove. Advanced arm speed that picks up as soon as he separates. FB: T 86MPH, 84-85 MPH. Good fastball that had great ride to it in the top of the zone, creeps up on hitters. CB: 77 MPH. The curveball showed some vertical movement but more gloveside, could also be considered a slurve type. CH: 77-80 MPH. Changeup played well in the bottom of the zone, appearing to have some cut action it presents itself as a valuable secondary pitch.
7/15/20
Physical: Projectable and ultra athletic 6-foot-4, 180-pound frame with feel for his body on the bump.
Pitching: RHP - Controlled side rocker step with a medium pace in the delivery, high leg lift at the top of the stack, leans back into a strong backside with slight body coil over the right side, and explodes with advanced hip shoulder separation towards the plate upon footstrike. The arm worked through a quick and loose, high ¾ slot on an 84-87 mph FB with an upwards of 2248 spin per Trackman Baseball. Mixed in a 76-78 mph CB showing 11/5 shape as well as late depth (2050 spin). A 76-77 mph CH was thrown with near fastball arm speed creating deception at the plate while displaying small occasional arm side fade.
