CONTROL THE BARREL
*Travis Watkins East Carolina University Catcher*
Producing a flat, controlled swing is the goal for every hitter when they come to the plate.
With that being said, we need to practice and rep this to produce the desired results. It is easy for a hitter to convince themselves that they are producing a flat swing in batting practice after a few line drives to the outfield.
However, this week's tip of the week: Control the Barrel is a drill that will make it obvious one way or the other. Give it a try and become a better hitter in the process!
NOTE: This video will expire 7 days from post 2/6/2018. If you are viewing this Tip of the Week after its expiration, go to http://ecoach.coach/baseball/ for more information.
