FL Insider: Fort Myers Standouts

By Doug Freeman and Mike Maerz

Fort Myers, FL - This past weekend some of the top underclass talent across the nation in the form of the 2019 and 2020 grad classes competed in Fort Myers. Over the five day stretch, some of the top Florida prospects from the 2019 class continued to show why they sit atop not only the state rankings, but on the national level as well.

LHP Hunter Barco (Bolles HS, FL) has elevated himself as one of if not the top arms in his class as he was up to 93 mph over the weekend while displaying a feel for his changeup and slider. With the upside on the mound and the projectable frame, Barco shows big time potential. OF Jud Fabian(Trinity Catholic HS, FL) was a standout at the PBR ProCase in late May and after an impressive summer at the plate, has carried it right through into the fall where he not only has showed the ability to drive the ball deep into the gaps for extra base hits, but over the wall as well as he has flashed his power potential multiple times. Many other of the top players in the 2019 and 2020 classes continued to perform well.

Below are 25 standouts from over the weekend with a full breakdown and video:
