Scouting Report: 6-foot, 165-pound thin, projectable body frame. The lefty was the starting pitcher in this game. He throws with regular effort to his delivery and uses a good hip load to help with his velocity. He lands in a straight line at foot strike, finishing in a balanced position towards home plate. He throws with average arm speed coming from an upper ¾ to an over the top slot. He did a good job throwing strikes and mixing up his two pitches. His fastball was between 78-80 mph. His curveball showed gradual break with 1/7 tilt at 67-69 mph.

Scouting Report: The senior catcher and a Buffalo commit has made big strides behind the plate. This time last year Regan was settling into the catching position for the Warriors. Regan has always had a very strong arm – consistently registering sub 2.0 pop times – but needed to be more consistent with his footwork and blocking skills. Well, against Hudson he was a wall.  Regan did not have one passed ball and his feet were much faster. At the plate he bats cleanup for Walsh Jesuit and has a very nice, compact and powerful swing. I was really impressed with his progress and should do very well at the next level.

Scouting Report: The ace for the Walsh Jesuit staff struggled with location this evening and did not appear to have his best stuff. Feltner sat 84-86 and topped out at 88 on a couple occasions. Despite the struggles, he only allowed two earned runs on five hits. He showed incredible athleticism making one of the best plays of the night. On a bunt down the third base line, he came off the mound, bare handed the ball and on the run he threw a missile to first base to record the out. The Warriors will go as far as Feltner can take them.

Milford vs #19 Loveland - 4/16/15

Scouting Report: 6-foot-2, 180-pound projectable frame. In the infield his best tool is definitely his arm. Has tendency to sit back on ground ball instead of attacking the ball, but his arm makes up for hit. Right-handed hitter with a spread out stance that keeps him balanced. Swing is quick and flat through the zone. Hit a home run off an 87 mph fastball dead center field that cleared the fence easy, so there's juice in his bat. On the mound he has a slow tempo delivery that lands slightly closed at foot strike. From a short, high-¾ slot his fastball sits 81-84 mph with a little arm-side run. Uses a solid changeup that keeps hitters off his fastball at 71-75 mph with some fade.

Scouting Report: 6-foot-3, 210-pound Miami (OH) commit. On the mound used above average arm speed through high-3/4 slot. Normal effort with some funk in delivery. Fastball sat at 87-89 with some run action. The command was there, as the flame-thrower spotted the fastball up and down in the zone. Showed good arm speed and command on his circle change that sat in the mid-70s. Curveball has downward tilt at 73-74 mph. On the day, went 4.1 innings, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out five. As the weather warms up, it will be interesting to see where Hendricks is sitting velocity wise with the fastball.

+ Bryce Borton, OF/RHP, Defiance, 2017
Scouting Report: 5-foot-11, 150-pound athletic build. The right-handed hitter starts with a slightly opened stance and uses a toe tap. Short, simple swing with a a level path towards the ball, and the ball tends to jump off his bat. Registered a top exit velocity of 76 mph at a recent event, but looked like it has already improved in the few at bats I saw. It also will improve with added strength. In-game ran a 4.20 home-to-first. On the day, hitting out of the eight hole, the athletic outfielder went 1-1 with a two-run double. Also walked and was hit by a pitch. In the at bat he walked in, roped a one-hopper off the left field fence that just went foul. If Borton continues to produce like this he will be moving up in the lineup (possibly to the two-hole). Talented, athletic outfielder that also has promise on the mound. One to watch over the next few years.
