FB (83-86, T87), CB (65) - 0-2 - 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 4 K Legitimate 2-way prospect shows intriguing lefty swing while touching 87 on the mound, showing intriguing development of his arm strength for when he catches. Tall, athletic frame w/ well-proportioned lean strength, super projectable, has just begun to scratch the surface of his frame potential. Offensively, hits w/ a very slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand and lower half rhythm into stride and short hand load. Generates above average bat speed through the zone, flashes whip. Still head, stays balanced, barrel stays in the zone for a long time. Tools to really, really hit. At his best using all fields w/ line drives. Chance for all fields power as he learns to swing for it early in the count. Played 1B on this day, has shown intriguing defensive tools as a catcher, must see behind the plate as the arm strength has jumped. /var/www/html/login/modules/Playerss/shortcodes.json not found
On the mound, righty pitched from the stretch only from the first base side of the rubber and H ¾ to OTT release. Simple, repeatable delivery w/ some effort in the throw. Extension. Ball jumps on the hitter. Straight FB shows occasional short cut. Struggled to finish his big downer CB in game. Almost tried to make it big, flashed above average in warm-ups with half the depth, but was a tight, late breaker. Pounded the zone with the FB, flashing ability to pitch to both sides of the plate. Projects to command. /var/www/html/login/modules/Playerss/shortcodes.json not found
