One of the reasons the rules around the NCAA and recruiting are so hard to grasp for many, is there are different sets of rules for baseball, basketball, football, and all the other sports represented. The NCAA sets the final rules in place, but each sport’s coaching associations can lobby the NCAA for adjustments for their particular sport. For this reason, you will see different rules for camps on campus, for the number of coaches on the road at one time, and even for the calendar a sport adheres to for its recruiting.
The baseball recruiting calendar is fairly simplistic when compared to football and basketball, but for players and parents going through a recruitment process, the difference between a quiet period and a dead period may not make much sense. Today we will take a look at the fall calendar for baseball recruiting.
