Reedy vs. Liberty

Toby Bicknell
Texas Scouting Director

FRISCO, TX - Reedy took an early 5-0 lead after two innings, but Liberty showed a ton of grit batteling back to even the score at 5 through five innings. Although I did not stay for the full ten inning game, Reedy scored the winning run in the top of the tenth to take the 6-5 victory.

Tim Wynia, RHP, Liberty HS, 2019
West Virginia commit. The right-hander works from a high slot with a drop and drive delivery. Fastball flashes tilt at times, sitting mostly 87-90 in the first, touching 91 once. Velocity only dropped a tick in the fourth, down to 86-87. Curveball is a solid pitch with tight 12/6 rotation, and he showed the ability to spin it for a strike and bury it late. We got one changeup at 78. Wynia went four innings, struck out nine, while only allowing 3 hits, but he did walk five and threw 109 pitches in this short outing.
