An exciting Friday saw Carmel Christian open their new playing field in front of an excited crowd.  Pre-game festivities included lots of pictures and several 1st pitches.   As the game got rolling, it was Sun Valley that stepped on the throttle early.

The Spartans used an opportunistic offense that showed depth from 1-9, pounding out 10 hits, including 3 homeruns.  SR. Logan Chaffin homered to leadoff the 3rd inning, pushing the Sun Valley lead to 6-2.  An 8-5 game was put away with a 3 run 6th from the Spartan offense.

On the bump Sr. RHP Mason Tinsley held Carmel Christian at bay early, attacking with a heavy dose of fastballs.  Tinsley earned the win for his outing.  Cole Green and Carson Sanner worked 3.2 innings of scoreless baseball to close out the win.
