Under Armour Classic Preview: GRB Rays

The GRB Rays are headlined by 2019 left-handed hitting catcher Nathan Stevens (Waunakee HS). Stevens committed to Arkansas earlier this year and showcases a lively bat from the left-side with strong catch and throw skills out of his 5-foot-11, 160-pound frame. Splitting time with Stevens behind the plate will likely be Connor Manthey (Columbus, 2019). Mantey is a strong 6-foot-1, 190-pounder with low 2.0 pop times and a strong bat that will flash pop.
The arms throwing to these catchers are lead by righties Trajan Prochnow(Rio, 2018) and Cedric Girard (Oregon, 2018). Girard is a long lanky frame that projects and has seen his fastball up to 85 mph with a hard curveball. Prochnow is a stonger build on the mound at 6-foot, 185-pound showcasing an 82-83 mph heater with a 67-69 mph curveball.
Dylan Krumrei (Oshkosh North, 2019) is a freshman who could likely anchor the infield at shortstop. He shows a big arm for his age (80 mph) and projects to play the left side. At 6-foot-3, 165-pounds already, he could likely grow out of a shortstop position as his at continues to show well.

ABOUT THE IMG CLASSIC
The inaugural Under Armour Classic, powered by the Prep Baseball Report, is set forJune 17-19 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. This premier 16U tournament will feature 12 high-end travel baseball organizations, with each team featuring loaded rosters of 2018 and 2019 prospects from across the country.

Unlike many tournaments that have you spending more time in the car driving field to field, all the high-level competition will be in one quad, with staggered starts, posted pitching rotations, complete roster packets, and all other amenities to make your recruiting that much easier. And, of course, it’s all free. If you have attended the Prep Baseball Report Future Games in the past, you can expect the same level competition and event execution. Pool-play games will begin on Friday, June 17, and the tournament will conclude around 2 pm Sunday.
