12/19/15, Unsigned Senior Showcase - The 6-foot-6, 209-pound prospect posted a 4.78 home to first time and had an 85 mph position velocity across the infield. Defensively, Alvis shows shorts arm action, accuracy on throws, good arm strength, soft hands, and moves athletically for his size. Offensively, Alvis showed a slightly more crouched stance than at previous events, showed much improved use of lower half resulting in several hard hit balls in his round of BP, short swing path and shows flashes of power, size and power potential make him and intriguing right-handed bat.
