The Texas high school season kicks off on February 21, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 25, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.

Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25. 

We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. SEASON PREVIEW

After making it to the playoffs in 2018, Jersey Village will be led by a couple juniors in 2019. Returning in the middle of the lineup is junior 1B Nathan Becker (No. 158 in 2020 PBR Texas rankings, committed to Rice) and on the mound is junior RHP Cesar Rodriguez, both received all-district honors in 2018. Also returning to the squad this year is senior C/IF Julian Puga, senior RHP/OF Lorenzo Martinez and junior LHP/OF Bryson Walker. Sophomore IF Cade Sanchez (No. 100 in 2021 PBR Texas rankings) is a newcomer to look for making some contributions in 2019.
