The Texas high school season kicks off on February 21, the first day for regular season games. Most teams will begin practicing on January 25, getting their rosters set and finalizing their lineups.

Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we will be rolling out team previews of high school teams all across the state and across all classifications, eventually launching our Preseason Power 25. 

We have been sending out our annual Preseason Questionnaire to coaches all across the state and as the responses flood in we will bring you a snapshot of what to expect along with top players and keys to success for that particular team. SEASON PREVIEW

After reaching the region finals for the second time in four years, Tomball Memorial returns a good amount of experience on the mound and in the field. Leading the group of returners in the field is senior IF Austin Roccaforte (No. 110 in 2019 PBR Texas rankings, committed to Wichita State). Heading up the group on the mound is senior LHP Tim Williamson (No. 217 in 2019 PBR Texas rankings, committed to Harvard). Also returning is senior RHP/IF Logan Kilpatrick, senior RHP/IF Cole Rodriguez and senior RHP/UTL Carson Thor, who all will be contributing in the field and on the mound. A few other guys to look for contributions this season are senior IF Blake Kirchgessner, junior RHP/IF Colin Purcell, junior RHP/IF Luke Sebesta,  junior UTL Brendan Buczkowski, junior RHP/OF Holden Burrows and sophomore OF Alex Edmondson.
