After a wild three days, the 2022 MLB Draft has concluded. A total of 42 JUCO prospects were selected with eight of those from the MLB Draft League. Below is a brief scouting summary of each player from the league.

Wesley Scott, 8th round to Kansas City (Walters State): Strong-bodied, power-throwing righty with a wide release and a deadly fastball-slider combo. 2-Seam 92-93, T94 with 10" IVB, 15" HZB riding laterally in on the hands of RHHs. Slider has 18" of HZB and 0" of IVB that spins at 2700 and generates 38% Whiff%.

Tayden Hall, 9th round to Milwaukee (State College of Florida): MLB bloodlines as his father is former MLB player Toby Hall. The left hand swinging Tayden has plus raw power and one of the more distinct eyes a batter has shown in the DL, especially considering his age. Works counts and looks for his pitch to drive. Consistently barreled balls and posted EV > 100 mph. Has seen time as a catcher but his long term home is 1B where he will be given an opportunity to slug and prove his true offensive profile.

Gus Sosa, 10th round to Philadelphia (South Mountain CC): Explosive bat speed and leveraged swing give Sosa present game power that plays well to the big parts of the park, and he's capable of shortening up to make opposite-field contact. Defense behind the plate has a ways to go, but he's a lean athlete with natural tools and a solid arm.

Kohl Drake, 11th round to Texas (Walters State): Athletic lefty that oozes with projection and dominated JUCO ball this past spring by posting a gaudy 160 K's to 17 BB. Starter traits with plus command of all pitches complete with an above-average curveball and changeup.

Cedric De Grandpre, 13th round to Atlanta (Chipola): Has numerous starter traits, including a repeatable delivery and advanced feel for sequencing his pitches. He can run his fastball up to 95+, pitching to both sides of the plate, and De Grandpré can keep hitters off balance using his curveball and changeup that fuels his starter potential.

Sabin Ceballos, 14th round to Los Angeles Angels (San Jacinto): Oregon signee; Good athlete, began catching this summer as he moved away from 3B and his athleticism showed out. + throwing arm that shows glimpses of being ++. AA raw power that translates in game. Demonstrated bat to ball skills in DL by posting an 85% Z-contact% rate.

Shane Murphy, 14th round to Chicago White Sox (Chandler-Gilbert): Tall, strong durable body with good arm speed and loose delivery. FB 88-92 with hard late tail and some sink. Good spin on sharp downer curve with bite. Very good feel for change with arm speed deception and sink. Repeats delivery with ability to throw strikes with all 3 pitches. Can change speeds and make pitches when needed to. Arm speed projects increased velocity with maturity. Classic lefty stuff with future plus command.

Geo Rivera, 19th round to to Cleveland (Walters State): Oregon St. signee; Filthy slider with 14" HZB, 3" IVB that generates whiffs at a 35% Whiff%. Spins consistently at 2900 and frequently peaks above 3000. Fastball 90-92, T93 that generates 28% Whiff%.
