SANTA FE, TX - The Eagles of Barbers Hill kept things going with an impressive 8-0 win over Santa Fe High School on Thursday night. Starting pitcher Chris Stevens (senior) was near perfect on the night, he only gave a single hit thru 5 innings on his way to victory. The Eagles were able to get too (Senior) pitcher Tucker Mica in the top of the 3 rd when they scored 5 runs. The big hit came from (senior) Brandon Holdren when he drilled a bases clearing Triple for 2 runs. Holdren was the star of the night going 3-for-4 with 4 RBI's and a Bomb to Left Field for a Home run in the 4th. The Eagles play an outstanding brand of baseball, that is highlighted with an aggressive and opportunistic style of base-running. Defensively they have 2 plus defenders on the Left side of the infield with (senior) Jace Seymour playing a great third base and all everything Shortstop Bryce Bonnin (Arkansas). The Eagles didn't allow the Indians to get anything going. Santa Fe looks to even the series on Friday night at Barbers Hill. Final score, Barbers Hill HS 8, Santa Fe HS 0.
