SCOUT NOTES

Creighton Hansen, 2019, RH, Liberty Christian, (Dirtbags Baseball)
The uncommitted 6’4” 200lb righty works downhill and throws with some intent. Goes from a small step into his leg kick, has a longer arm swing that starts when the hands break from right above the belt. Glove side arm goes up before quickly using it to pull down and clear his front side, also helps him create some tilt. Went right after hitters and got a lot of ground balls with a fastball that sat 87-88, and a handful of 89s, showed a couple of sliders at 72-73.

AJ Smith, 2021, 2B, Kilgore, (Performance Baseball 16U)
The uncommitted 5’6” 150lb smith was easily the most athletic player on the field all day, quick-twitch guy with some sneaky strength, still really raw. Has a simple swing with good balance and athleticism throughout. + + runner, really explosive and gets to top speed quickly, had him at a 4.27 on the turn during one of his base hits.

Josh Hernandez, 2020, RHP, Frisco Reedy (Dallas Patriots 2020)
The uncommitted tall lanky right has a projectable frame and a loose arm. Has an efficient lower and upper half, creates positive disconnect between the two utilizing the velocity he can create rotationally. Fastball jumps out of his hand and times had a lot of arm side run. Showed a tight slider and flashes of changeup that could become a put away pitch as well. Fastball was 86-88 topping 89, slider was 75-76 and the changeup was 72-74.
