FT. WORTH, TX - It’s alwasy a good night when you can catch two quality teams throwing their number one starters against each other, and that is exactly what we saw on Friday night when Liberty Christian traveled to Ft. Worth to take on All Saints Episcopal. LSU commit Jacob Hasty (Liberty Christian) faced off against TCU commit Mason Speaker (All Saints).

This game was a pitcher’s duel from the very start, even when starter Mason Speaker, who shined on the mound and at the plate, helped All Saints get on the board in the first when he singled in a run with a bullet into the right-centerfield gap. The game remained quiet offensively until SS Jacob Speaker, twin brother and TCU commit, hit an RBI triple down the right field line in the bottom of the fifth. Those would be the only two runs the Saints would need as Mason Speaker kept Liberty Christian off the board to throw a complete game shutout.

Final Score: All Saints 2, Liberty Christian 0.

More on All Saints
The Saints have a strong club, and with this win, move to 3-0 in District with an overall record of 16-1. They have quality pieces around the infield with SS Jacob Speaker (who also pitches), C AJ Mendolia, 3B Tannahil Love, and Matthew Tieding. There is enough physical presence and athleticism to think these guys have a chance to make a run deep into the private school playoffs. Plus, 2B/LHH Luke Fricks, and CF Cedric Bowman are both expected to come back in the next week or two from small injuries.
