DALLAS, TX- Throughout the fall, PBR's staff will be on the road covering baseball across Texas. Games, workouts, practices, camps and more.  The "boots on the ground" philosophy of PBR is well represented with the coverage throughout the Fall of 2017. Today we bring you a combination of coverage with some of the top players in the Metroplex, as well as Prep Baseball Report Texas’ Junior College coverage.

METS SCOUT TEAM (PITCHERS)

+ 2018 RHP Micah Dallas (Home School) showed the best overall stuff of the night. The right-handed Texas Tech recruit stands 6-foot-2, 210-pounds with a sturdy frame, and is currently ranked No. 18 in Texas. He works from a ¾ slot with a loose, whip-like arm swing and max effort delivery. He gets inside his fastball, turning it over with outstanding late life and heavy arm side sink at 90-92 mph. Dallas has a plus swing-and-miss slider that he throws with fastball arm speed at 82-83 mph with tight rotation, short, late break and 10/4 shape. For good measure he mixed in an 82-83 mph changeup.

+ 2019 RHP/OF Kadon Morton (Seguin HS) is the highest ranked uncommitted player in the Texas 2019 class, coming in at No. 12. He has a loose, athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 180-pounds. The right-hander works from a high-¾ slot with a long, loose arm stroke. His fastball topped out at 91 mph, and sat 88-90 with some late run. Morton mixed in a sharp 11/5 curveball at 75-77 mph and an 82 mph changeup. Throws all three pitches from the same window, and has an athletic delivery with good hip turn down the mound.
