HOUSTON, TX - Kinkaid, ranked No. 17 in the PBR Texas Power 25, hosted Episcopal in an SPC district matchup on Saturday.

Kinkaid took control of the game early on with multiple big innings. 2019 OF James House (Dartmouth commit) started off the game for Kinkaid with a two-run home run in the 1st. 2019 3B Wyatt Young (Oregon State commit) and 2019 OF Behr Bruce both had RBI base hits while 2021 C Christian Limon had a two-run double, all in the 3rd inning. Limon then added another RBI later in the game as part of the 3-run 5th inning.

On the mound, 2019 RHP Cade Moulton (Air Force commit) went 3.1 IP in the start, allowing one unearned run on one hit and two walks with four strikeouts. 2021 LHP David Shaw and 2021 RHP Chase Pelter (No. 18 in 2021 PBR Texas rankings and No. 99 in PBR overall rankings) combined for the last 3.2 IP allowing no runs and just one hit with Pelter throwing a 1-2-3 7th inning.

Episcopal’s two hits were from 2021 Utl Bennett Hanks on an RBI double in the 1st and then 2020 SS Tanner Witt (Texas commit) on an infield single in the 7th inning.

Cade Moulton, RHP, Kinkaid, 2019
Air Force commit. Estimated 6-foot-5, 180-pound, lanky frame with a high waist. The right-hander throws from a ¾ slot with a long arm swing. His fastball was 84-85 mph, commanding it low in the zone and inducing plenty of groundballs. He also threw a curveball that was 76-78 mph with 11-5 action, primarily throwing it outside the zone for swing and miss to his glove side.
