No. 21 Keller Rolls Past No. 19 Timber Creek

Toby Bicknell
Texas Scouting Director

FORT WORTH, TX - Two Texas Power 25 Teams met on Tuesday night as the No. 19 Timber Creek Falcons hosted No. 21 Keller Indians. 2018 RHP Kyle Rich, a DBU commit ranked, No. 77 in the Texas 2018 Class took the mound for Keller.

Keller got on the board in the top of the third inning with the bases loaded, when cleanup hitter 2019 DH Will Lance singled in two runs on a hard shot to left field. After two errant throws, both errors, Lance - and four total runs - crossed the plate for Keller. Indians 4, Falcons 0.

The Indians got another run in the top of the fourth off back-to-back doubles by Kyle Rich and Mikey Brinton. They nailed the coffin shut in the fifth when Brinton, Will Johnston, and Cavanagh all drove in runs, putting Keller up 9-0.

Keller starter Kyle Rich was dominant last night, pounding the zone with fastballs, needing only 91 pitches to get through six innings with seven strikeouts. His toughest inning was the bottom of the fourth, when he gave up a leadoff single, a walk, and an HBP. But he struck out the last two batters he faced to keep the shutout in tact.

Final Score: Keller 9, Timber Creek 0.
