COLLEYVILLE, TX - After Tuesday’s 10-0 run-rule victory by Grapevine, Friday was a much anticipated attempt at redemption for Colleyville Heritage. Leading the way for the Panthers was their ace, 2017 RHP Alex Scherff. Scherff, a Texas A&M recruit, is currently ranked No. 16 in the PBR Draft 100. The 6-foot-4 right-hander was dominant, hurling a complete game no-hitter, facing one-over the minimum, and leading Colleyville to a 2-0 victory over Grapevine in front of a sold out crowd of over 2,000 fans.

Colleyville got the only two runs they would need in the bottom of the third inning when Isaiah Alvarenga led off the inning with a single down the third base line. Jacob Guerrero collected his second hit of the game, driving in Alvarenga. Two batters later, Cameron Ehringer singled home Guerrero, Panthers up 2-0. The score would hold up as Scherff tallied eight strikeouts, and allowed only one Mustang hitter to reach base via a walk. Final Score 2-0.
