SCOUT NOTES

Blake Marsh, OF/1B, Dallas Mustangs Carpenter, 2019
At 6’2” 205 the Wichita State commit already has some physicality to his game with a frame that still has projection. Quite load, with minimal extra movement in the box. Makes a lot of hard contact. An exciting young hitter with a good mix of talent and upside.

Peyton Havard, RHP, Beaumont Gladiators, 2020
The Louisiana Lafayette commit has a strong lower half with a quick, short arm action. Fastball was 87-89 topping 91. Mixed in a slider that was 73-75. Havard didn’t have his best stuff on Thursday but there was still a lot to like.

Andrew Reid, RHP, Houston Warriors, 2020
The uncommitted 6’0” 155lb righty showed some mound presence with really clean mechanics and good extension out front. Reid has good body control and did a good job directionally down the mound. Fastball was 81-83 with more velo to come as he matures physically. Feel for a curveball 67-69. Changeup was 75-77 with nice arm side fade.

John Cashimere, LHP, Dallas Mustangs Carpenter, 2019
The uncommitted 5’11” 160lb crafty lefty displayed good fastball command and some pitchability. Worked at a good rhythm and had really quick innings, seemed to be in cruise control the entire time. Medium length arm swing, with a fastball that was 80-81 topping 82 with some arm side run. CB came in at 68-69 and the CH at 70-71. Will be a solid late get for someone.
