Over the weekend of September 18th-19th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Weatherford College in Weatherford, TX, to host the Texas State Games: Upperclass, an invite-only event for the classes of 2027 & 2028.

Nearly 100 players made their way to Weatherford JC and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Lane Beacham | LHP | Boyd | 2028 | 6'2" 164
Loose left-handed arm with a projectable frame and plenty of upside from a low three quarter slot. FB sits 84-85 mph, topping at 87 mph, with arm side run. SL works 76-77 mph with spin up to 2475 rpm, while the CH sits around 80 mph with -16.5 HM. Intriguing pitch mix with movement and more in the tank. High upside 2028 LHP with plenty to like.

Deacon Carpenter | INF/RHP | Sulphur Springs | 2028 | 5'10" 170
Athletic RHP with a quick arm and repeatable delivery, showing quality rhythm and tempo on the mound. Attacks the zone with feel and cruised through his inning of work as a consistent strike thrower. FB sits 85-87 mph, topping at 88 mph, with a 78 mph CB, 81-82 mph SL, and 83 mph CH. Quality four pitch mix with present pitchability and feel for the zone.

Adrian Rios | RHP | Samuel Clemens | 2027 | 5'10" 185
RHP with solid hand speed and the ability to consistently work down in the zone. FB sits 83-86 mph, topping at 88 mph, with present feel for locating the pitch. CB works around 68 mph with feel for spin and the ability to firm it up in the future. Strike thrower with present pitchability and feel for his arsenal.

Ethan Oldfield | RHP | Dallas Christian | 2028 | 6'4" 195
Projectable RHP with a quality frame and plenty of physical upside. Works through a clean path with a side rock and coil at the top of the lift, hiding the baseball well throughout the delivery. FB sits 85-87 mph, while the breaking ball works 74-76 mph with depth and plays well off the fastball. Recorded several punchouts during a quality outing. Intriguing 2028 arm with more in the tank.

Jackson Seel | OF/RHP | Stratford | 2028 | 5'11" 170
Athletic two way player who moves well and shows intriguing tools on both sides of the ball. On the mound, works through an athletic path with plenty of hand speed, featuring a FB at 86-89 mph, topping at 90 mph. CB sits 72-73 mph with depth, while the cutter works around 83 mph with swing and miss traits. Quality 2028 athlete with present arm strength and upside on the mound.

Jesse Garza | RHP | PSJA Early College | 2027 | 6'2" 200
Physical RHP with a strong frame and room to continue adding strength. Works from a side rock into a high leg lift with a clean arm path, staying directional and working well down the mound. FB sits 87-89+ mph, while the SL works 73-75 mph. CB around 71 mph is his best secondary offering, showing quality depth and playing well off the fastball. Stuff plays well when he is in the zone, giving him an intriguing mound profile.

Seeley Peters | RHP | Edna | 2028 | 6'5" 170
Tall, lean RHP with a highly projectable frame and plenty of room to add strength. Works from the stretch with a FB at 87-88 mph and 2550+ rpm, showing carry through the zone. SL works 77-79 mph with 2450 rpm and present swing and miss traits. Plenty to like with the combination of frame, arm strength, and spin. High upside 2028 arm to keep on the radar.

Daxton Williams | RHP | London | 2028 | 6'3" 195
Tall, lean RHP with a projectable frame and plenty of upside. Works quickly with a clean arm path and consistently attacks the zone, featuring a FB at 85-86 mph with late life. SL works around 73 mph with 2467 rpm, while the SPL sits 77-82 mph with quality depth. Shows a solid three pitch mix with present feel and recorded four strikeouts in his outing. Intriguing 2028 arm with more in the tank.

Physical RHP with a quality frame and room to continue adding strength. Works down the slope well, featuring a FB at 85-87 mph with 2500+ rpm and downhill plane. CB sits 72-73 mph with 2700+ rpm, while the SL works 76-78 mph with 2700+ rpm. Strike thrower with present feel for spin and more growth ahead. Intriguing arm with the frame and stuff to continue making jumps.

Tommy Darity | RHP | Buda Johnson | 2028 | 6'3" 210
Physical RHP with a solid frame, good arm strength, and an athletic arm path. Shows quality command while creating downhill tilt on the baseball. FB sits 86-88 mph, with the CB working 75-76 mph with depth and a 79 mph CH rounding out the arsenal. Quality 2028 arm with present pitchability and physical upside.

Jace Schull | LHP/RHP | Aledo | 2027 | 5'11" 172 | Galveston JC commit
Unique switch pitcher with the ability to take the mound from both sides. Works from the stretch with an efficient delivery and quick hand from either arm, showing the ability to work down in the zone. FB sits 84-86 mph with similar arm strength from both sides, while the CB works 70-73 mph. Intriguing 2027 arm with a rare skill set and present feel from both sides of the mound.

Maddux Dill | RHP | Corsicana | 2028 | 5'10" 177
Athletic RHP with a quick hand and quality rhythm and tempo to the delivery. Works from the stretch and attacks down the mound with aggression, showing the ability to consistently fill the zone. FB sits 86-87+ mph, while the CB works 78-80 mph with 2700+ rpm and swing and miss traits. CH sits 80-81 mph with deception and 890 rpm. Good mover and a competitive 2028 arm with quality pitchability.

Chase Powell | RHP | Aledo | 2028 | 6'3" 190
Projectable RHP with a quality frame, quick arm, and clean path. Works aggressively down the slope while maintaining direction to the target, featuring a FB at 86-87+ mph with glove side movement. SL works 77-78 mph with two plane action and bite. Plenty of upside remaining with the frame and arm speed. Quality 2028 arm to follow.

Gavin Shaw | RHP | Anderson | 2028 | 6'3" 178
Loose, easy right-handed arm with a projectable frame and intriguing present stuff. Works from a side rock step into a high leg lift, featuring a FB at 86-87 mph with 2450 rpm and 18-19 IVB, creating ride through the zone. CB sits 73-74 mph with 2500+ rpm and solid depth, while the SPL works 77-78 mph with 792 rpm and the ability to kill spin. Shows swing and miss traits with multiple pitches and plenty of upside on the mound.
