Over the weekend of September 18th-19th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Weatherford College in Weatherford, TX, to host the Texas State Games: Upperclass, an invite-only event for the classes of 2027 & 2028.

Nearly 100 players made their way to Weatherford JC and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Ran a 6.84 60. Shows actions on the infield with carry to his throws. Aggressive swinger with some length to the swing. Produces hard contact off the barrel with 100+ top exit velo. Doubled to LF in game play.

Logan Chaix | OF | Weatherford | 2027 | R/R | 6’0” 180
Great build/frame with present strength in the lower half. Plus runner who shows the range to play CF. Arm speed is present, reaching 91 mph from the OF. Barreled the baseball consistently in BP. Offensive impact should continue to firm.

Nick Widmoser | INF | TACA | 2027 | R/R | 6’0” 188
Shows actions on the infield with the ability to make throws from different angles and on the move. Aggressive swinger who shows the ability to impact the baseball to the pull side. Had a hard-hit double in game play.

Alec Andrews | C | Liberty Christian | 2027 | R/R | 5’11” 191
Solid receiver who moves and blocks well behind the plate. Posted a 2.01 in-game throw. Throws were accurate and consistently on the bag during the workout with present carry. Has shown consistency with his catch-and-throw ability in games, ranging from 1.98-2.04. Solid hit approach and doubled to RCF in game play.

Jacob Hinojosa | INF | The Bennett School | 2028 | R/R | 6’0” 187
Solid baseball player who will continue to add strength. Shows present actions on the infield with defensive versatility. Continues to develop offensively with a hit-over-power profile.

Jackson Sinisi | INF/OF | Tomball | 2028 | L/R | 6’4” 192
Physically projects well for added strength. Plus runner who posted a 6.75 60 and showed a 4.22 time down the line. Solid defender in the OF. Look for the offensive impact to develop as physical strength is added.

Sawyer Clark | INF | Prosper | 2028 | R/R | 6’1”
Present strength with a frame that projects well to add more. Shows actions defensively with feet that work and should provide versatility on the infield. Flashed the ability to impact the baseball off the barrel. Offensive impact should continue to develop.

Keegan Fosdick | C | Tomball | 2028 | 5’9” 168
Ran a 6.93 60, showing solid athleticism for a catcher. Receives well and posted quality pop times during the workout, with a best of 1.90. Shows quickness to the release. Hit approach is present with consistent barrel contact and a 94+ avg exit velo. Took quality ABs in game play.

Roderrick Buckler II | OF | Channelview | 2027 | R/R | 5’10” 200
Tools. Great build/frame with room to continue adding strength. Plus runner who posted a 6.75 60. Shows the ability to impact the baseball with a 100 avg exit velo and 107+ top exit velo. Present raw power.

Rayne Rojas | OF/C | Keller Timber Creek | 2028 | L/R | 6’0” 178
Great build/frame. Plus runner who posted a 6.81 60. Solid defender in the OF who moves well to the baseball. Arm strength should continue to firm. Shows solid contact off the barrel, with offensive impact expected to increase as strength is added. Took quality ABs in game play.

Kason Burger | C/INF | Byron Nelson | 2028 | R/R | 5’10” 176
Solid catch-and-throw ability with accuracy. Posted a 2.01 in-game pop time with a quick release and accurate throw. Look for the ability to impact the baseball to continue developing. Doubled to RCF in game play.

Carson Roy | OF | Dynamic Prep | 2027 | R/R | 5’10” 177
Solid build/frame with room to add strength. Plus runner with the ability to impact the baseball. Plus bat speed is present along with a feel to hit. Has shown the ability to produce hard contact in games.

Benjamin Robinson | INF/RHP | Waxahachie | 2028 | R/R | 6’1” 190
Great build/frame. Shows actions defensively with avg arm strength and carry to his throws. Has the ability to stay on the left side of the infield. Solid hit approach with hard contact, producing a 97.1 avg exit velo and 101+ top exit velo.

Athletic RHP with a clean arm path and present command of his arsenal. Works down in the zone well with the FB at 88-89, topping at 90. SL works around 79 with short, quick, late break and swing-and-miss potential. Quality combination of command, athleticism and present stuff on the mound.

Asher Strait | INF/RHP | Brock | 2027 | R/R | 5’11” 200 | Galveston JC commit
Ran a 6.89 60. Shows actions on the infield with raw arm strength and carry to his throws. Solid hit approach and gets on plane to create line-drive contact. Flashed raw power to the pull side.

Athletic RHP who maintains direction through the delivery and consistently pounds the zone. FB works 86-87, topping at 89+, with late life. Shows carry at the top of the zone and sink when working down. CB works 73-76 with developing shape and should continue to sharpen while also mixing a 76 mph CH. Quality strike-throwing profile with present life on the FB and more development ahead.

Christian Lux | INF/RHP | Homeschool | 2028 | R/R | 6’3” 210
Great build/frame to add strength. Developing defensively and profiles as a corner infielder. Impacts the baseball with consistent hard contact, producing a 101+ avg exit velo and 107.9 top exit velo in BP. Can whack the baseball.

RHP with a repeatable delivery who attacks the zone and works down the slope with aggression. FB works 87-89 with ride through the zone and the ability to challenge hitters. SL works around 79 with quality action and the ability to change planes. Competitive strike thrower with a quality FB/SL combination.

Christian Hamilton | INF | Manvel | 2027 | R/R | 6’1” 156
Athletic with a great build/frame to add strength. Well above-avg runner who posted a 6.53 60 with present quickness. Shows actions on the infield and makes plays on the move with carry to his throws. Bat quickness is present with hard contact off the barrel. Hit approach is developing. Produced a 97 avg exit velo with a 102.8 top exit velo.

Great build/frame to add strength. Steady corner OF with developing actions on the infield and carry to his throws. Shows a solid approach with the barrel working to the baseball. Produces hard contact with a top exit velo of 103.9.

Mason Bryant | OF | Kingwood | 2028 | R/R | 5’11” 186
Solid build/frame with room to add strength. Corner OF who moves well to the baseball and should be a steady defender. Shows a solid hit approach and consistently lands in position to hit. Produced hard line-drive contact in games with two hard-hit singles, one to LF and another to CF.

Colton Davis | OF | Calallen | 2027 | R/R | 6’0” 186
Corner OF who ran a 7.03 60. Shows carry to his throws. Gets into a solid position to hit with present bat speed and hard contact off the barrel, reaching a 101.6 top exit velo. Took quality ABs in game play with multiple hits, including a triple.

Ryan Kume | INF/RHP | Hays | 2027 | R/R | 6’0” 161 | Midland JC commit
Infielder with actions and defensive versatility who can make throws from different angles. Shows a solid hit approach with hard contact off the barrel and a 93.7 avg exit velo. Took quality ABs in game play with multiple hits, including a triple to RCF.

Athletic mover on the mound with a clean arm path and repeatable delivery. Strike thrower with a FB at 85-88 showing late life through the zone. SL works 75-80 with depth while mixing a 75 mph CH. Quality two-way player with athleticism and upside on both sides of the baseball.

Jamison Stephens | OF | Salado | 2027 | L/L | 5’7” 166
Solid build/frame with room to add increased strength. Corner OF who moves well to the baseball. Raw arm strength should continue to firm. Gets into position to hit and produces solid contact off the barrel. Collected three hits in game play, including a triple to LCF.

Liam Orenstein | C | Bridgeland | 2028 | R/R | 5’11” 174
Will continue to add strength. Can catch and throw. Receives well in games and has shown the ability to handle new arms. Throws show carry, with workout pop times as low as 1.86. Posted a 2.01 in-game pop with an accurate throw. Approach is developing at the plate, with offensive impact expected to improve as strength is added.

Waylon Griffith | OF/3B | Buda Johnson | 2027 | R/R | 6’0” 202
Solid build/frame with present strength. Ran a 6.91 60. Aggressive to the baseball in the OF with raw arm strength that should continue to develop. Hits from an upright stance with an aggressive, pull-oriented approach. Produces hard contact with a 99.5 avg exit velo.

Barrett Elston | 1B/OF | Denton Guyer | 2028 | L/L | 6’0” 202
Strong build/frame with room to add more. Plus runner who posted a 6.71 60 and showed a 4.35 time down the line in game play. Steady defender at 1B who moves well off the bag. Did not see him in the OF. Shows a solid hit approach with a consistent ability to barrel the baseball, producing a 95.9 avg exit velo. Took quality ABs in game play.

Wayen Slanina-Wertz | C | Canyon Lake | 2028 | R/R | 5’9” 180
Solid build/frame with some present strength. Flashed a quality pop time during the workout and can also play OF. Shows a quality hit approach with the ability to impact the baseball and present raw power to the pull side. Produced a 96.6 avg exit velo and showed hard contact in game play.

Billy Cole | OF/RHP | Tomball | 2028 | R/R | 5’11” 192
Solid build with present strength and room to add more. Steady corner OF with carry to his throws, reaching 94 mph on throws to the plate. Gets into position to hit and is an aggressive swinger with present raw power. Produced a 96.3 avg exit velo with a 106+ top exit velo. Had two hard-hit extra-base hits in game play, including a pull-side HR.

RHP with a clean arm path, present arm strength and a repeatable delivery. FB works 87-88, showing carry at the top of the zone and tilt when working down. SL works 76-77 with sharp depth and 2735 rpm, showing swing-and-miss traits. Quality FB/SL combination with intriguing present stuff.

Fernando Puentes | 2B | Johnson | 2028 | 5’6” 165
Shows actions defensively with feet that work and the ability to make plays on the move. Above-avg hit approach with plate discipline and the ability to handle the bat. Hit-over-power profile. Collected three hits in game play, including a triple to CF. Tough out at the plate.

Deacon Carpenter | INF/RHP | Sulphur Springs | 5’10 170
Athletic, great build/frame to add increased strength. Projects to be plus runner. Shows actions on the infield, carry to throws. Hit approach present, hard contact off barrel. Ability to impact baseball will continue to develop. Offensive infielder developing.
