Scouting Report

Ivy was one of the players I was most excited to see up close at the Dallas Tigers Scout Day. He is a no doubt catcher who should be able to stick back there for a long time. He is efficient in his footwork and it produced a 1.96 pop time.  He is an accurate thrower, and should be able to limit the run game.  At the plate, Ivy is strong and flashes bat speed with quick hands.  He has a knack for driving the ball with authority from gap-to-gap with more power in the swing, as he learns to stay behind the ball and let that barrel fly.  Ivy continued to show these qualities at our State Games at the end of September and will be a fun one to watch going into the spring.
