From June 15-18, the PBR Virginia/DC staff was on-hand in Richmond, Va., at the site of the PBRT Mid-Atlantic Program Invite. You can also find pitching velocities and the max fastball velo leaders from the tournament on this page.

Today, we’ll be identifying the top uncommitted Class of 2024 talent in attendance from the tournament. The following prospects are five uncommitted on-the-rise seniors that put together impressive performances in Richmond and they deserve a close follow through the remainder of summer and fall.

BEST IN SHOW, Top Uncommitted 2024 PROSPECTS

Aiden Dubetsky SS / RHP / Georgetown Prep, MD / 2024

Maryland Rankings: State Rank, No. 46

Dubetsky is an athletic left-handed-hitting two-way prospect who enjoyed a breakout spring campaign on the bump, posting a 0.57 ERA with 75 strikeouts, and the right-hander also helped lead Georgetown Prep to win its conference title this past spring. During the MAPI, he showed well on both sides of the baseball, displaying control of multiple pitches while on the mound and of the barrel while in the batter's box. His athleticism helps him swing a controlled and accurate barrel that produced consistent hard, sprayed contact throughout the tournament.

Angel Santiago-Cruz SS / RHP / Severna Park, MD / 2024

Maryland Rankings: State Rank: No. 10

Throughout the entirety of the tournament, Santiago-Cruz continued to show why he is an uncommitted name-to-know in the rising-senior class. The 2022 PBR Future Games alum is currently the top-ranked uncommitted player in Maryland's 2024 class. He's listed at a strong and athletic 6-foot-2, 204 pounds, with feel for the barrel and the ability to produce consistent hard contact. He has posted high-end swing metrics in front of our staff in the past, like in February at the PBR Maryland Preseason All-State event, as well as reaching a peak of 89 mph on the bump.

Anders Ahladas LHP / OF / PDG Academy, VA / 2024

Virginia/DC Rankings: State Rank: No. 101

From PBR Virginia/DC's '24 rankings update (5/8/23): "Ahladas made a strong impression at a Preseason ID event at the end of January, and continues to prove his value on the mound. Strong 6-foot-1 frame that has filled out well. Clean arm stroke that is loose and has some quickness. The fastball was low- to mid-80s in the winter, and he showed feel for a short shaped slider and a fading changeup. This is an arm that has made a nice jump in velo, as well as continues to add to his pitchability on the mound. Ahladas has thrown just under thirty innings on the year, striking out fifty-six, and allowing a .181 batting average against."

Chase Chambers SS / Midlothian, VA / 2024

Virginia/DC Rankings: State Rank: No. 93

From Need-to-Know: Uncommitted RVA '24s article (1/24/23): "[Chambers] appears to be the vocal leader of the Midlothian Trojans squad. Starting since he was a freshman, Chambers has the experience to help the Trojans take the next step this spring. The middle infielder has a long lanky frame with range. The hands work and it is an accurate arm across. Contact bat that uses the whole field and shows a patient approach at the plate. Chambers brings a steadiness to the top end of the Trojan order."

Trey Gauch RHP / Deep Run, VA / 2024

Virginia/DC Rankings: State Rank: No. 62

From VA/DC Scout Blog (3/8/23): "Gauch worked a pretty efficient two innings, for his first outing of the year. Two strikeouts in his outing, one on the fastball and the other on a slider. Gauch got a handful of swings and misses on the 84-87 mph fastball, as well as some weak contact. The slider also got a few in zone whiffs, sitting at 73-75 mph. He flashed a changeup at 78 mph. Gauch is definitely trending up and will be a hot name this spring amongst schools when they get out on the road."
