On June 22, over 60 players from all corners of the Commonwealth took part in our Top Prospect Games East. We continue our detailed breakdown of those players today with the primary outfielders:

Anthony Califano OF / 2B / Bruton , VA / 2023 Califano is 5-9 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load. Hips rotate and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, uphill swing path, showed a pull approach, swing generates loft, exit velocity was 69. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 77. Ran a 7.60 60 yard dash.

 

 

Traylor DuVal OF / RHP / JR Tucker, VA / 2021 Duval is 6-1 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and some projection left to it. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, quick clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 81. Ran a 7.13 60 yard dash.

 

 

Konner Eaton LHP / OF / Prince George, VA / 2021 Eaton is a George Mason commit and is 6-2 with a lanky frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, uphill swing path, showed primarily a pull approach with the ability to work the gaps, swing generates loft in the gaps, exit velocity was 84. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 91. Ran a 7.50 60 yard dash.

 

 

Jacob Genzler OF / RHP / First Colonial, VA / 2022 Genzler is 6-3 with a lanky frame that has a lot of projection left to it.  He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load down. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, showed primarily a pull approach with some carry in the gaps, exit velocity was 84. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, clean exchange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 81. Showed versatility taking balls in the infield where his velocity was 80. Ran a 7.60 60 yard dash.

 

 

Kaden Hilburger OF / RHP / Tabb, VA / 2022 Hilburger is 5-10 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and some projection left to it.  He is a switch hitter, from the left side, hits from an open athletic stance, two tap stride on line, smooth load down, has rhythm. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, showed good approach working gap to gap with some carry in the gaps. From the right side, hits from a slightly open athletic stance, strides on line, short load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, strong at contact with extension through the ball, showed a pull approach with some power present.  In the outfield, gets behind the ball and fields through it with average hands, clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 91. Ran a 6.94 60 yard dash.

 

 

Garrett Mason OF / RHP / Mills E. Godwin , VA / 2023 Mason is 6-3 with a lankier athletic frame that has some strength present and plenty of projection left to it. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 80. Ran a 7.52 60 yard dash.

 

 

Cooper Newell RHP / OF / Hickory, VA / 2022 Newell is 6-2 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load back to a wrap. Hips rotate with violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, uphill line drive swing path, showed primarily a pull approach with some carry, exit velocity was 88. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and fields to his side and through it with soft hands, clean exchange, throws from a higher three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 85. Ran a 7.17 60 yard dash.

 

 

Daniel Padilla RHP / OF / Kempsville, VA / 2020 Padilla is 6-1 with a lanky frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, three-tap stride on line, loads back to a wrap. Hips rotate completely and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, uphill swing path, showed good approach working gap to gap with some carry in the alleys, exit velocity was 87. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 81. Ran a 7.46 60 yard dash.

 

 

Malcolm Perry OF / LHP / Nansemond River , VA / 2021 Perry is 5-7 with an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He hits from the left side from a slightly open athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, short load back. Hips rotate and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, showed a pull approach with loft, exit velocity was 79. In the outfield, gets behind the ball and fields through it with soft hands, quick clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 80. Ran a 6.74 60 yard dash.

 

 

Aidan Pinto OF / Ocean Lakes, VA / 2021 Pinto is 6-2 with a lankier athletic frame that has some projection left to it. Ethan Robinson OF / 1B / Monacan, VA / 2021 Robinson is 5-10 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and some projection left to it. Showed accuracy on his throws.
