As we expanded our 2025 class to the Top 150 players, we added quite a few new faces. In addition to the new faces that we have covered in our rankings releases and podcasts, we want to highlight a few more of the new additions.

2025 New Faces

Benjamin Cardone C / Highland School, VA / 2025

Cardone was a somewhat recent addition to the '25 class, moving over from the 2024 ranks. Compact, solid frame with strength present in actions. Cardone had a strong performance fall of 2021 at the Mid-Atlantic State Games and continued to build on that this summer/fall. Had a strong showing in one of our fall tournaments in front of our staff.

Lucas Henn RHP / Pro 5 Academy VA, VA / 2024

Another addition to the 2025 class via reclass is Pro 5 right-hander, Lucas Henn. We saw Henn this fall in game action at Pro 5. Strong physical body, higher slot, and a low-mid 80's arm. Changeup is probably the best secondary right now, with development of a consistent feel for spin.

Andrew Farrar 1B / Mechanicsville, VA / 2025

Farrar was one of the better looking bats at a recent PBR Scout Day. Physical offensive piece for the Mustangs, does not get cheated, and shows some two way potential on the mound.

Nate Hawton-Henley OF / St. John's College, VA / 2025

Toolsy athlete with and above average run tool. Hit tool type of bat with the ability to stretch an extra base. The simplicity of the swing and athleticism will give him a chance to make things happen at the plate and on the bases. Above average arm strength in the outfield with the ability to play all three.

Brady Yates OF / Independence, VA / 2025

Another young Independence Tiger that caught our eye this fall. Simple, controlled load and swing. Feel for the barrel and a little extra strength to pull side. Above average runner with potential to play all three in the outfield. Between Yates and a few other young Indy players, it will be well worth a trip to NOVA this spring to see the Tigers.

Christian Dart 1B / Highland School , VA / 2025

Dart made a big statement this fall in front of our staff. It is a not a loud set of tools, but Dart is a player that does everything well. 1B/corner outfield with the ability to hit for average and does a solid job defensively wherever you put him. Short level path and has shown the ability to use the whole field in approach. Will continue to take steps forward with added strength.

Ian Weber C / Centreville, VA / 2025

Strong 6-foot, 180-pound frame. At the plate he does a nice job staying centered as he moves forward towards contact. Accelerates through contact and does a nice job utilizing his strength into the swing. Throws were in line on pops and has average to slightly above average arm strength.

Brian Archer C / Steward , VA / 2025

Archer has a really strong physical makeup. Listed at 6-foot, 165-pounds, but you have to think that frame is going to carry some good weight. Slight crouch at the plate, length in the swing, and has some power potential to the pullside. Would like to see the Steward backstop utilize the backside and lower half a little more. Long term defensive profile may be first base, but has time to continue to add arm strength behind the plate.
