Quick Hits - 2026 New England Top Prospect Games: Session 2

On June 23rd, our staff hosted the 2026 New England Top Prospect Games: Session 2 at Boston College (Brighton, MA). Over 65 players attended this event and gave our staff a continuing list of prospects to keep tabs on in the Classes of 2027 to 2030, including 24 players that represented New England at a national event this summer.

Conor Alvezi OF / Bishop Feehan, MA / 2028Alvezi (5-10, 180 lbs) starts with a slightly opened stance at the plate with a lower-hand setup, and big-time pop to the pull side (101.5 mph max exit velocity, 88.7 mph average, 389 ft max distance). He is one of the top athletes in the class and showed out with a 6.48 sec 60-yd dash (1.59 sec 10-yd & 3.66 sec 30-yd splits) and a max vertical jump of 21.8". He flexed a right grip strength of 124.2 lbs and a left grip strength of 120.4 lbs. He recorded a Vizual Edge score of 65.

David Bagley SS / Trumbull High School, CT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 32 / POS: 5
Bagley (5-11, 177 lbs) has a wide setup at the plate and consistently finds barrels through the middle. He recorded a max exit velocity of 99 mph (91.3 mph average), and a max distance of 359 ft. He is a toolsy player and moves extremely well showcasing a 6.88 sec 60-yd dash (1.67 sec 10-yd & 3.87 sec 30-yd splits). Bagley showed a infield velocity of 77 mph and is one of the top defenders in the class. He recorded a right grip strength of 126.9 lbs and a left grip strength of 120.9 lbs.

Eli Davis 3B / Colchester High School, VT / 2027Rankings StateRank: 71 / POS: 3
Eli Davis (5-10, 215 lbs) is a wide-shouldered, physical corner infielder and recent Franklin Pierce commit (8/17/26). He has a power profile at the plate with a toe-tap to launch approach. He recorded a max exit velocity of 102.6 mph (87.1 mph average), and a max distance of 380 ft (308 ft average). He has a live arm with a 84 mph infield velocity from the hot corner.

Connor Durney C / St. John's Prep, MA / 2027Rankings StateRank: 261 / POS: 40
Durney (6-0, 193 lbs) is a strong, physical backstop and recent Stonehill College commit (7/9/26). He features an explosive, uphill swing through the middle to pull side and showed big-time pop with a home run during gameplay clearing the CF wall at Boston College. The St. John's native recorded a max exit velocity of 102 mph (95 mph average), a max distance of 380 ft, and a max bat speed of 80.0 mph (75.2 mph average). He showed a catcher velocity of 77 mph and recorded a pop time of 1.97-2.13 seconds. He recorded a right grip strength of 164.2 lbs and a left grip strength of 177.8 lbs. He recorded a Vizual Edge score of 74.6.

Ryan Heerman C / Thayer Academy, MA / 2028Rankings StateRank: 14 / POS: 2
Heerman (5-10, 165 lbs.) is an athletic backstop and recent Boston College commit (8/4/26). At the plate, he shows quick twitch and a short path, while recording a max exit velocity of 98.6 mph (87.8 mph average), and a max distance of 364 feet. He moves extremely well for his position and ran a 6.87 sec 60-yard dash, while also showcasing a catcher velocity of 79 mph and recorded a pop time of 2.03-2.12 seconds.

Rudy Preziosi 1B / Dexter Southfield, MA / 2028Rankings StateRank: 40 / POS: 3
Preziosi (6-5, 225 lbs.) is a big-bodied corner infielder and is an excellent mover for size with a power profile. He recorded a max exit velocity of 103.3 mph (96.4 mph average), a max distance of 415 feet, and a 85.6 mph max bat speed (75.9 mph average). Rudy ran a 7.04 sec 60-yd dash and a max jump height of 26.5".

David Robertson 3B / RHP / Austin Prepatory School, MA / 2028Rankings StateRank: 12 / POS: 1
Robertson (6-4, 210 lbs) has a large frame and a potential 2-way threat in the corner infield and on the mound. At the plate, he has a fast, short path to the ball with a high 1-handed finish. DRob flexed some pull side juice while recording a max exit velocity of 104.7 mph (96.3 mph average), a max distance of 402 feet, and a max bat speed of 79.7 mph. Robertson currently sits at #12 in the most recent rankings update, and is a true force on the mound with a max fastball of 90 mph.

Charlie Scott SS / Austin Preparatory School, MA / 2028Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 1
Scott (6-3, 195 lbs) is an athletic infielder with light tower power, and is also a recent UConn commit (9/11/26). He has a calm, cool, and collected demeanor, and takes that to all areas of his game. Scott recorded a max exit velocity of 99.3 mph (84.7 mph average), a max distance of 396 feet, and a 23.6 max hand speed (21.8 mph average). He ran a 7.23 sec 60-yd dash and a max vertical jump of 18.4".

Coletti (6-1, 190 lbs) has a long, tall frame with more room to grow phyiscally. On the mound, his fastball sat 80-83 mph (T84.3 mph, 2174 RPM max, 2067 RPM avg) and quite the movement profile (14.9" IVB max, 12.8" IVB avg & 17.5" HM max, 14.9" HM max). He showcased a 4-pitch mix featuring a big curveball at 71-73 mph (1917 RPM max, -17.2" IVB max), a tight-spinning slider at 71-74 mph (1815 RPM max, -14.3" HM max), and a changeup at 72-75 mph (18.4" HM max).

Gale, Jr. (5-11, 160 lbs) has a long-limbed frame and moves well. On the mound, he delivers from a high 3/4 slot with a clean arm circle and late life on his pitch mix. His fastball sat 84-85 mph (T85.3 mph, 2094 RPM max) and has a 2-way movement profile with 18.8" IVB max (16.3" IVB avg), and -14.7" HM max (-10.7" HM avg). Kessell (6-1, 190 lbs) is a top LHP in the class with an aggressive mentality and pitch ability is through the roof. The recent Rutgers commit (8/5/26) features a promising pitch mix, including his fastball sat 79-84 mph (T84 mph, 2226 RPM max) with sinking action (-16.7" HM max, -13.2" HM avg). He also mixed in a sweeping slider sitting at 70-73 (2204 RPM max).

King (6-0, 198 lbs) has wide shoulders and a physical frame. The recent Stonehill College commit (9/13/26) works from a hybrid windup on the mound with a simple, clean delivery. His fastball sat 80-83 mph (T84.1 mph, 2184 RPM max) with ride action (18.4" IVB max, 14.8" IVB avg). He also mixed in a sweeping curveball at 70-71 mph (2275 RPM max, -16.1" HM max), a tight-spinning slider at 72-73 mph (2329 RPM max, -13.6" HM max), and a tumbling changeup at 73-74 mph (1360 RPM avg).

Kaz Matsuo RHP / The Loomis Chaffee School, CT / 2029Matsuo (5-11, 180.7 lbs) is a very talented RHP with a fast arm and very smooth actions on the mound. The #6 overall prospect in the Class of 2029 throws from the set position and his fastball sat 86-88 mph (T88.6 mph, 2172 RPM max) with a unique movement profile (16.8" IVB max, 14.4" IVB avg, 19.2" HM max, 17.7" HM avg). Kaz has two different breaking ball profiles featuring a sweeping curveball ranging from 73-74 mph (2326 RPM max, 2313 RPM avg, -20.5" HM max, -16.4" HM avg), and a tight spinning slider/cutter at 79-80 mph (T80.5 mph, 2388 RPM max).

Max Minkos RHP / Glastonbury High School, CT / 2028Rankings StateRank: 47 / POS: 19
Minkos (5-10, 175 lbs) has athleticism and arm speed through the roof. On the mound, he works from the set position and his fastball sat 85-87 mph (T87.6 mph, 2239 RPM max) with arm-side action (21.4" HM max, 19.4" HM avg). He also mixed in an occasional curveball at 69-70 mph (2011 RPM max, 1688 RPM avg), and a diving changeup at 72-76 mph (1368 RPM avg, 18.8" HM max, 16.6" HM avg).

Shifrin (6-0, 170 lbs) is another athletic arm in the Class of 2028 with a 'slingshot' type arm action and a supinator. On the mound, his super high spinnning fastball sat 80-83 mph (T85.3 mph, 2591 RPM max, 2316 RPM avg). His secondary offerings include a sharp, sweeping slider at 73-75 mph (2933 RPM max), and a change-up sitting at 75-79 mph (1900 RPM avg, 19.3" HM avg).
