Future Games: Wisconsin Tops Illinois 7-4

WESTFIELD, IN - Team Wisconsin beat Team Illinois 7-4 on the second day of game play at the 2017 PBR Future Games.

Wisconsin got on the board in the first scoring 4 times to jump out to a 4-0 lead. Steve Jamroziak (Muskego) singled to lead off the game and moved up after a Dylan Krumrei (Oshkosh North) walk. Bubba Thompson (Appleton West) delivered the biggest hit of the game with a two run triple. Adam Juran (Sauk Prairie) added a sac fly in the inning.

In the fourth, Wisconsin added three more runs. Thompson, Juran, and Alex Huissen (Indian Trail) singled to start the inning. Tyler Brandenburg (Lake Country Lutheran) and Zach Lechnir (Kimberly) chipped in with RBIs.

Thompson finished the day 2-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Huissen went 2-3 with two runs scored.

On the mound Andrew Biertzer (West Bend West) worked two scoreless innings striking out two. Drew Leszczynski (Brookfield Central) closed out the game working a scoreless inning striking out two and topped out at 88 mph with his fastball.
