7/26/16 - 5-foot-10, 175-pound third baseman, solid athletic build. Premium infield defender projects at third base. Soft confident hands, footwork is fluid, plays through the baseball, excellent body control, showed ability to attack the slow roller. Arm action is loose, high ¾ slot, carries well across the diamond, advanced arm strength at 82 mph across. Right-handed bat, balanced setup, wider sturdy base, excellent balance, short stride, quiet pre pitch setup. Bat path stays on top of the baseball, line drive gap to gap type hitter, also flashed pull side pop. 83 mph exit velocity from the tee. 4.50 runner down the line, 1-for-6 with a double in game play.
Brandon Komar, RHP, Elkhorn, 2017
6.16.16 - 6-foot, 182-pound, two-way prospect with a strong lower half. On the mound, right-handed pitcher, flashed three-pitch feel. Delivery works up-tempo, some rhythm, stays in-line, lands square and finishes athletically. Loose, quick arm action out of a high ¾ window. Fastball, thrown for strikes, mainly straight action, sat 81-83 mph, touching 84. Feel for curveball, flashed depth, 11/5 shape, sharp action and ranged between 67-73 mph. Changeup thrown for strikes, arm-side-run and sat 74-77 mph. Offensively, right-handed hitter, strength through contact; registered a 92 mph exit velocity from a tee. Flashed fluid rhythm, loose hands, and level bat path at times. Balanced setup, smooth load and leg-lift timing trigger. Defensively, profiles as a third baseman. Soft hands, athletic fielding position and a clean exchange. Loose arm, flashed carry across the diamond, clocked at 83 mph. Also, ran a 7.59 laser-timed 60.
Eric Modaff, OF, Oregon, 2017
10/2/16 - 5-foot-8, 175-pound left/left outfielder, short stockier build, has present strength. Offensively hits from a balanced stance, reverse toe tap trigger, good balance through contact, showed athletic and strong hands. Above average bat speed, pull side approach, flashed pop to pull side. 90 mph exit velocity from the tee. Singled and walked in game play. Possible top of the lineup type bat, 4.23 runner down the line and 7.05 in the 60. Defensively moved well in the outfield, active feet, played through the baseball. Short over the top arm action, 81 mph from the outfield.
Benjamin Graham, RHP/OF, Mukwonago, 2017
9.18.16 - 5-foot-11, 210-pound right-handed hitting RHP/OF. On the mound works from an over the top arm angle with a long arm action. Tall and fall, online delivery with some rhythm. Fastball was straight at 80-83 mph. Curveball has 12-6 shape at 72-75 mph. Defensively has a long arm action from an over the top slot. Plays thru the ball with average hands. Showed off arm strength throwing an event best 88 mph from the outfield. At the plate hits from a balanced slightly open stance. Short, leg lift stride with average balance. Pull hitter with early rhythm and an uphill swing path. Showed strength thru contact with 88 mph exit velocity from a tee. 4.54 runner down the line.
Jarrett Scheelk, OF, Green Bay Preble, 2017
9/18/16 - 6-foot-1, 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. At the plate hits from an open stance with a long leg kick stride and good balance. Line drive hitter with a long, level swing path. Fast bat with fluid rhythm. Back spins balls well. Showed strength thru contact with an event best 93 mph exit velocity from a tee. 4.53 runner down the line. Defensively has a short arm action from an over the top slot. Accurate throws with carry throwing 81 mph from the outfield. Plays thru the ball with fluid footwork.
Alec Esenther, RHP, Oconomowoc, 2017
2/28/16 - 5-foot-9, 150-pound right-handed pitcher, lean build. Tall and fall type delivery, works online, open toed landing. Regular effort, long two-piece arm action, over the top slot. Fastball is mostly straight, ranged 79-82 mph. Curveball has showed 12/6 action, 62-64 mph. Slider was thrown harder at 67-69 mph, slightly more lateral actions. Changeup is 69-71 mph, straight change action.
Blake Cottell, 2B, Arrowhead, 2017
2/28/16 - 6-foot, 165-pound right-handed hitting second baseman. Offensively hits from a balanced setup with a leg kick stride. Short, uphill path with late rhythm. 72 mph exit velocity from a tee. Ran the 60 at 7.71. Defensively has a short arm action from an over the top slot. Stands up before throwing with a slow exchange. Threw 71 mph across the infield.
