The PBR Top Prospect events have run across all PBR state for several years, and this was the first of its kind in the state of Wisconsin. In its inaugural edition, the Top Prospect - Milwaukee brought some of the best uncommitted 2018s the state has to offer to The Rock Sports Complex just outside of Milwaukee. The roster featured prospects from both Wisconsin and Illinois who showcases their talents for dozens of college coaches in attendance.

Here’s a quick look at some highlights from the day:

  • LHP Luke DePrey (Sun Prairie) made made a jump touching 86 mph in his outing. DePrey’s previous best was 83 mph, which we saw two weeks earlier at the Badger State Battle.

    • Jansen showed his typical 86-87 mph fastball with a clean arm action.

    • Catchers Kaiser and Miller proved they are two of the better backstops in the state, while Miller shows advanced defensive skills, Kaiser possess a power right-handed bat.

    • Middle infielders Leslie and Ryba have two of the smoothest gloves on the infield you will find. Both are legitimate shortstop prospects that can anchor the defense on any infield.

  • Small School Standouts:

    • INF Devin Toburen (Greenwood) projects well at 6-foot-3, 180-pound and has an easy stroke that sprayed carrying line drives to the middle of the field.

    • Isaac Pape (Independence) is an athletic 6-foot-2, 180-pound infielder with easy pop as the ball jumped off his bat at times in BP, Pape translated that to the field with an in game home run.

    • Isaac Dirker (Howards Grove) is a projectable 6-foot-6, 190-pound RHP up to 85 mph.

    • RHP Evan Rice (Brillion) has a long arm action with an 83-84 mph fastball.
