WIAA Semifinals: Burlington blanks Green Bay Preble

The Demons made quick work of Preble in their semifinal game, 9-0. Senior RHP Aaron Mutter got the start for Burlington and looked sharp, allowing just one hit in four innings of work.
With a three-run lead Burlington rallied for six runs in the top of the fifth, giving the Demons the opportunity to pull Mutter early and save some innings for the championship game on Thursday.
In the fifth, Dale Damon, Aaron Sturdevant, Cal Tully, Tanner Strommen and Brian Sturdevant all chipped in with RBI hits.
Brian Sturdevant finished 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Aaron Sturdevant drove in three on two hits and Damon drove in two, scored two and collected two hits.
Burlington advances to the title game to face Arrowhead at 6:00 pm on Thursday, June 16.
