3/16/14 - 6-foot-4, 225-pound two way player with a physical frame. Offensively, he hits from an open stance with a leg kick trigger. Swing is strong and quick, generating significant barrel whip and good extension. Showed ability to drive the ball from gap to gap. Exit velocity was 88 mph. At first base he showed solid hands while playing through the ball athletically. Arm works accurately at 77 mph across the infield. Posted a 4.6 home to first time. On the mound he uses a standard delivery with a squared landing. Arm works short, from over the top. Fastball was 79-80 mph with little action. Curveball has 12/6 shape, rolling break, 63-66 mph. Changeup was 70-72 mph with occasional cut.
10/30/13 - Strong build, wide shoulder, developed lower half, 6-foot-4, 215-pound right handed pitcher. Delivery works in line, simple, minimal use of lower half, regular effort. Arm action is slightly shorter, over the top slot. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, sat 78-79 mph, mostly four seam straight action. Curveball has12/6 shape, mostly down, 67-70 mph. Changeup flashed arm side run, mostly down, 72-75 mph.
