Week 6 Diamond Notes

Each week, WIAA coaches around the state submit to us their nominations for the PBR Wisconsin Player of the Week honor. On Wednesday, we awarded the fifth POTW of the year, representing Week 6, to OF Dylan Mass (Franklin, 2022; St. Leo), who exploded for 15 hits, which included four doubles, and a pair of triples, finishing the week with six RBIs. 

Inside of this Diamond Notes piece, we acknowledge the performances that fell short of that POTW honor, but are still deserving of some recognition here.

WEEK 6 DIAMOND NOTES

Cal Adamczyk OF / 2B / Tremper, WI / 2023

Adamczyk was on fire this past week for newly ranked, Kenosha Tremper. In his 12 at-bats, Adamczyk tallied seven hits, five of them being doubles. He finished the week with four RBIs and a whopping 10 runs scored. 

Landon Behringer OF / 2B / North Fond du Lac, WI / 2022

Behringer has strung together yet another quality week for North Fond du Lac. Behringer tallied seven hits which included four doubles and a homerun. He finished the week with a whopping 13 RBIs and six stolen bases which put him above the 100th mark in his career. Behringer has now also broken North Fond du Lac’s career records for hits and RBIs due to his efforts throughout the season. 

THOMAS BURNS RHP / OF / Hortonville , WI / 2023

The Arizona State commit continued his dominant start to the season with yet another quality performance on the mound for Hortonville. In their matchup with Neenah, Burns twirled a gem over six innings and allowed just two hits, while striking out 12. This led Hortonville to a dominant win over a quality Neenah squad. 

Tyler Deleskiewicz RHP / OF / Lake Geneva Badger, WI / 2022

Deleskiewicz, a Wisconsin-Milwaukee commit has been solid thus far for Badger and he continued it in week six. On the mound, Deleskiewicz twirled a complete game for Badger and tallied 12 stirkeouts while allowing two runs on three hits. Offensively, his bat was hot as well, as he collected five hits, which included three doubles, and finished with one RBI. 

Nick Doubek OF / LHP / Pewaukee, WI / 2022

Doubek, a senior leader for this Pewaukee squad had himself a very productive week. The Wisconsin-Oshkosh commit tallied nine hits on 16 at-bats, to hit .562. His hits included a double, a pair of triples, and a homerun. Finishing the week with eight RBIs and scored six runs.  Doubek pitched for Pewaukee and in 11 innings on the mound he tallied 14 strikeouts while walking just three. 

Carson Hansen OF / LHP / Pewaukee, WI / 2022

The Wisconsin-Milwaukee commit put together a solid overall week for Pewaukee. The senior collected nine, which included two doubles hits in 18 at-bats, to hit .500 for the week. Hansen finished the week with four RBIs and also stole five bases for Pewaukee. 

Ethan Hindle SS / 2B / Arrowhead, WI / 2023

The Kentucky commit has continued his solid start to the season as he collected three outstanding games. In game one against Muskego, Hindle grabbed a double, homerun and three RBIs. Hindle repeated this exact stat line in their second game against Muskego. To cap the week, Hindle logged a double and one RBI for against Sun Prairie. 

Cade Honkamp 3B / OF / Brookfield East , WI / 2022

Honkamp, a Wisconsin-Whitewater commit put together a quality week for newly ranked Brookfield East. Honkamp’s hot bat, one that exploded for eight hits, which included a double and a homerun, helped Brookfield East to a 4-0 week. Honkamp’s best performance of the week came against a talented Arrowhead team in which he nearly hit for the cycle and scored seven runs. 

Charlie Marion OF / 1B / Franklin, WI / 2022

Marion, teammate of POTW Dylan Mass, also put together a quality week for Franklin. In 17 at-bats, Marion tallied 11 hits which included four doubles and one triple. He finished the week with 10 RBIs and also scored seven runs. 

Keegan Norton 1B / LHP / Greendale, WI / 2022

Norton strung together a solid overall week for Greendale. In 13 at-bats he tallied seven hits which included a triple and eight RBIs. Norton’s most important hit of the week came in Greendale’s matchup against New Berlin West. In extra innings, Norton came up to the plate and smoked the game winning triple to highlight his quality week.

Carson Reinhardt 3B / 1B / Franklin, WI / 2022

Reinhardt put together a solid overall week for Franklin on both sides of the ball. On the mound, Reinhardt earned the win in Franklin’s matchup with Kenosah Bradford due to his efforts over five innings. Reinhardt allowed just one hit, zero runs and tallied five strikeouts. Offensively, he collected four hits, finishin the week with five RBIs and four runs. 

Conner Robertson RHP / 3B / Dominican, WI / 2022

Robertson strung together some solid performances at the plate for Dominican. In their first game of the week, he tallied two hits in three at-bats and scored three runs. Robertson then followed that performance up with a game where he hit a pair of triples and scored four runs. Robertson wasn’t finished as he collected a pair of homeruns and drove in four runs. He then capped off his week with yet another two-hit performance and drove in two more runs. 

+ Colin Kinas, OF/P, (2023, Green Lake/ Providence) 

The junior strung together a solid week on both sides of the ball for Green Lake/Princeton. Kinas tallied five hits in three games which included three doubles, and one triple, finishing the week with three RBIs. Kinas also pitched five innings in a big time win and allowed just two hits with one strikeout and one walk. 

+ Caleb Karll, OF, 2023, Madison West

Karll, who's committed to Ohio, is one of the state's top junior prospects and he's off to a strong start this May. He's currently batting .500 with eight extra-base hits that includes six doubles, a triple, and home run. Karll has brought home 13 runs this month already and played a pivitol role in key victories against DeForest and Beloit Memorial.
