Week 4 Class AA Power 5

Throughout the West Virginia high school baseball regular season we will be posting a Power 5 in each classification. Updates will be made for Class AAA on Mondays, AA on Tuesdays and A on Wednesdays. Check back frequently at PBR West Virginia to follow team and individual results from the previous week. Today we take a a look at our Week Three AA top 5.

Summary:
As the weather provided a temporary reprieve, the Indians were busy moving their record to 8-1. The lone loss came to Erie McDowell a Class 6A team from Pennsylvania. Individual stats were not available.

Summarry
The Generals move up one spot in this week's top five by going undefeated and moving their overall record to 13-2. The week included a 7-0 win over previous number two Chapmanville. Impressive individual performances were recorded by Brett Morris (7-for-8, 5 R, 8 RBI), Aaron Blackwell (6-for-11, 4 R, 5 RBI) and Nick Edwards (6-for-9, 5 R, 4 RBI). Hunter Morris also put together a perfect 4-for-4 day, driving in four, in a win over Buffalo. Edwards picked up the win on the hill over Chapmanville by twirling a complete game shutout.

Summary:
What a difference a week makes. After a 2-2 week last week the Pioneers flexed their muscles in going undefeated, and not being challenged, against somewhat lesser competition. Standouts were Cayden Ross (9-for-11, 7 R, 6 RBI), Jeremiah Milum (9-for13, 4 R, 7 RBI), and Zach Perry (9-18, 9 R, 7 RBI, HR).
PETERSBURG
PBR Ranked Players:

Summarry:
Petersburg moves into the top five at number four by extending their season record to 9-2. The Vikings recorded an impressive 10-4 win over Frankfort in a game in which the Falcons used two of their better arms. Individual statistics were not available.
FRANKFORT

Summary:
Frankfort stays in the top five by the slimmest of margins after a 2-2 week. The Falcons were beaten by new number four Petersburg as well as Jefferson. They bounced back to beat Jefferson in dramatic fashion on a walk off single by Caleb Hare. Top weekly performers were Hare (8-for-11, 7 R, 5 RBI), and Zack Whitacre (7-for-15, 7 R, 4 RBI). Brady Whitacre also had a solid individual game in the clutch win over Jefferson going 2-for-3 and driving in three.
