Hussey is a strong-bodied West Virginia recruit, standing at 6-foot-3, 225 pounds. Hitting from the left side, he maintains balance throughout his swing, easily generating whip with the barrel and above-average bat speed (75 mph), giving him the ability to hit for power to all fields. Hussey has a recorded Max Exit Velocity of 103 mph. He is nimble around the bag at first base with active feet and ran a 7.12 60 at the Super 60 in February.
