The FB was upper 70’s and bumped 81 mph a few times. The FB was effective as it showed nice sinking action as several hitters swung over the top of it. IN his 2nd inning he really attacked the zone and did a nic job forcing soft contact and getting routine ground balls. The breaking ball was 70-71 mph and showed some side to side action. Not really a slider but showed some depth as well.
Andrew Rittman (2020 RHP, Hartselle HS) 6’2 190 lbs- 6.5.18- Fastball sat 76-78 with some life at the end. Pitched from a ¾ arm slot which added some run. Slider was an effective pitch at 72-74 and located it well. Changeup sat 72-73, can be an effective pitch if he works more on it.
Andrew Rittman (2020, RHP, Hartselle) 6’2 190 lbs- 7.10.18- threw 2 innings during the game and really located three pitches well. His FB sat 77-79 and topped at 80 from a slight ¾ slot creating some movement. His breaking ball was sharp at at times at 74-75 and he featured a changeup at 73- 74. Has a clue how to pitch and does a good job of staying down in the zone.
