6/16/20

6-foot-2, 200-pound physical frame. In the box, the right-handed hitters best exit velocity was 85 mph. Started in an athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a leg kick to initiate his swing. Bat speed is quick, uses uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. He Barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. While catching, he produced a pop time of 2.06-2.32, his best recorded throw to second was clocked at 68 mph. Had consistent accuracy to the bag with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.66.

9/08/19

Slightly open stance at the plate with the bat on the shoulder to begin. Really has a short, compact approach and does a nice job using his strong lower half. The bat speed is there and he does a nice job staying through contact with the barrel. Defensively the transfer is very quick and the fundamentals of the throw are very solid. The arm strength will continue to progress. With added arm strength, he could very easily be a sub 2.0 guy to 2B. The athleticism is evident behind the plate as he showed quick feet and the ability to move laterally on balls in the dirt. ‘22 grad that really gets after it on the field.

6/25/19

At already 6’2” 180 lbs. as a ‘22, Cochran already possesses the size to become a future top prospect in his class. Cochran had an impressive showing at this event while showcasing some quick hands and + bat speed during his BP round. His swing is synced together nicely. Defensively, the RHH C posted a 2.06 pop time and a C velo of 70 mph. Interesting follow
